EXTENDED COMMUNITY OF PLANT CULTURE: AUSTRALIA
Entheogenesis Australis (EGA) is a not-for-profit association that exists to create a supportive environment to foster mature, open discussion about psychoactive plants and chemicals. They seek to explore ways to assess societal impacts and examine the positive applications of plant-based psychoactives and entheogens through conferences and journal publications, videos, email announcement list and other psychedelic research initiatives.
The Plant Freedom Alliance is a non-profit independent community organisation dedicated to botanic liberty – our right to freely access all plants for medicinal, nutritional, and ceremonial purposes.
About the PFA
Their vision is a society that sanctions and protects the right of an individual to cultivate, use, study and promote the medicinal, nutritional and ceremonial uses of plants.
This core objective is based upon the recognition that, although plants have always played an integral and indispensable role in human evolution and culture, their use and lore has long been suppressed.
From the witch burnings of the fifteenth century, to repressive and outdated drug laws that result in mass criminalisation of ordinary citizens, to the modern influence of pharmaceutical and genetic modification industries; vested interests have always sought to control and restrict our knowledge of and access to these highly complex living organisms.
